Q. Where does training take place?
A. Most training in Queensland takes place at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. Alternatively, it can be negotiated that a RAIplus trainer comes to your organisation to provide the appropriate training session. However, if you have a large number of trainees from the one organisation and are outside of Brisbane, it may be more convenient to fly a trainer to your city to perform the training. Training can also be performed interstate and overseas. There are a number of RAIplus trainers available in various states in Australia. Contact us to find the closest trainer.
Q. Who can undertake assessor training?
A. Anyone with experience and an interest in clinical assessment can attend the training. People previously trained include nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dieticians, and medical officers. Other disciplines would be most welcome.
Q. When does the training take place?
A. Training is performed on a needs basis, so if there are a minimum number of 6 people who need to be trained in a particular interRAI instrument then training is arranged on day/s that are most suitable to the attendees. Contact us to register your interest in a particular instrument or to find out when the next training session is occurring.
Q. How much does training cost?
A. Training costs vary between session types and requirements. Discounts can be arranged for organisations that have more than 6 trainees performing assessor training. Contact us to arrange a price and solution that best meets your needs.
